Synopsis
From the home of British Embassy Charge d’Affaires Tony Brenton, Professor Stanley Wells talks about his book Shakespeare For All Time, published by Oxford University Press. He is interviewed by Paul Edmondson, Director of Education for the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon. Professor Wells talks about Shakespeare’s role in society since his death. He also discusses the life of Shakespeare, including his writing styles, competition with other writers, and stories about the casts portraying his characters on stage. Professor Wells answered audience members’ questions.
