Synopsis
Television documentary on the staging of Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet choreographed by the company’s artistic director, Wes Chapman, and performed by the Alabama Ballet. The first part focuses on the physically and emotionally demanding rehearsals and includes interviews with the principal dancers and Chapman. The second part is scenes from the opening night’s performance, with Chapman explaining the settings and bridging narrative gaps.
