Sellers in the Attic

Synopsis
Radio programme in which comedy writer and historian Glenn Mitchell explores what the BBC archives reveal about British comic legend Peter Sellers on the 30th anniversary of his death. In addition to the well-known rendering of ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ in the style of Laurence Olivier’s RICHARD III (see separate entry), the programme includes an interview with TV producer John Hamp who filmed a sequence of Sellers delivering "Now is the winter of our discontent" (I i) for the Granada TV programme THE MUSIC OF LENNON AND MCCARTNEY. The programme includes outtakes from the TV recording session.
