Synopsis
Video recording of the Mokwha Repertory Company’s 2005 production of Romeo and Juliet directed by Oh Tae-suk which employs martial arts, live music, dance, ritual and gesture. Oh Tae-suk directs his actors always to face the audience when speaking, never each other.

Produced by the Mokhwa Repertory Company at the National Theatre of Korea, Seoul, beginning 3 October 2005; at the Namsan Drama Center, Seoul, beginning 4 April 2006 and 24 October 2007; at the Kirari Fujimi, Tokyo, 14 July 2006; at the Barbican Pit Theatre, London, 23 November-9 December 2006; at the Busan Cultural Hall, Busan, beginning 5 May 2007; and on tour. It is not known from which performance the globalshakespeares video is filmed.
