Edition Filmmuseum is a joint project of film archives and cultural institutions in the German-speaking part of Europe. Its ambition is to publish film works of artistic, cultural and historical value in DVD editions that both utilise the possibilities of digital media and meet the quality demands of the archival profession. Participating archives include Bonner Kinemathek, Bundesarchiv, Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg, Cinémathèque Suisse, Deutsche Kinemathek, Deutsches Filminstitut, Filmmuseum Düsseldorf, Filmmuseum München, Filmmuseum Potsdam, Goethe-Institut, and Österreichisches Filmmuseum. DVDs are organised under the headings: German films, International cinema, Documentaries, Films about film, Short film collections, Filmed literature, Silent movies, Film and Art, and DVD collections. There are both German and English language versions of the website. Sale on DVD. All the films of an author or a theme are offered as a DVD collection for a reduced price.
