Shakespeare’s Will

Synopsis
Video recording of Vern Thiessen’s play directed by Miles Potter. The author imagines Anne Hathaway just having returned home from her husband’s funeral. She is haunted by a remark that Shakespeare’s sister, Joan, has made about how Shakespeare has treated Anne in his will. Anne has the will in her hand but can’t bring herself to look at it. Thiessen uses this artificial delaying tactic to allow Anne to meditate in generally chronological order on how she met Shakespeare and how their married life progressed.
