- Synopsis
- A concert broadcast live to over 450 cinemas in the United States and Canada. An all-Tchaikovsky programme featuring his three Overture-Fantasies inspired by Shakespeare plays - Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and The Tempest. Preceding each of these symphonic poems are selections from the plays performed by Orlando Bloom (Romeo), Malcolm McDowell (Prospero), and Matthew Rhys (Hamlet). Kate Burton is host and directs for stage. Michael Beyer directs for television. The Los Angeles Philharmonic is conducted by Gustavo Dudamel.
