- News and current affairs series. In this episode Steve Richards interviews Dominic Dromgoole (Artistic Director) at the Globe Theatre. Dromgoole discusses the current popularity of Shakespeare and new book ‘Will and Me - how Shakespeare took over my life.' Mariah Gale of RSC recites a speech by Portia from Julius Caesar. Frank Dobson interviews Michael Boyd (Artistic Director, RSC) who comments on the decision by the RSC to stage the entire works of Shakespeare in one year. Studio panel - Frank Dobson MP, Yasmin Alibhai-Brown and Kenneth Baker - discuss the influence of Shakespeare on their lives and the surge of interest in Shakespeare this year. Chuk Iwuji (RSC), recites one of Shakespeare’s sonnets. Frank Dobson interviews James Shapiro (author, ‘1599, A Year in the Life of Shakespeare’) discusses why he decided to focus on just one year of Shakespeare’s life. The panel discuss the interview. Tom McKay (RSC) reads the speech before Agincourt from Henry V.
