Synopsis
Laurence Olivier is interviewed by Kathleen Tynan. He tells of his time at the National Theatre and gives his opinion (not complimentary) on Viscount Chandos, Peter Brook and Peter Hall. He talks at length about Kenneth Tynan including why the NT Board wanted to get rid of him. There is no discussion of Shakespeare specifically.

The Theatre Archive Project is a collaboration between the British Library and De Montfort University, although the partner for much of the project was the University of Sheffield. The project reinvestigates British theatre history 1945-1968, from the perspectives of both theatregoers and practitioners.
