Searching for Shakespeare’s House
- Synopsis
- Tony Robinson joins a group of archaeologists as they excavate the site of Shakespeare’s house in Stratford-upon-Avon. Records show that it was once Stratford’s biggest private home, with up to 20 rooms and a dozen servants, before it was demolished in 1702. With the site now accessible, archaeologists are aiming to show for the first time not only where Shakespeare really did live with his family but also how grand his house was.
