They Do Not Move
- Synopsis
- Romantic comedy drama starring Tamsin Greig as Alice Chenery, a woman trying to find her true love. In this episode, ‘Fat Hamlet’ is the idea of Gil Raymond (Michael Landes) - inspired by an all-female version of Waiting For Godot he’s seen. He imagines the opening scene (which is shown on screen) with Marcellus, Barnado and Horatio and the ghost appearing - all 4 are comically rotund. The character Deirdre Gilpin (Susan Earl) is also learning Portia’s speech from The Merchant of Venice for an audition.
