Synopsis
US late night talk and variety show hosted by Tom Synder. May Angelou and Ian McKellen are the guests. McKellen speaks of his role in the film RICHARD III and the nature of costuming and historical accuracy; the resistance he encountered in making the film; the relationship between actors and politicians, especially in reference to his work as an advocate for gay rights; what knighthood and the monarchy mean to the modern British people; and his role in the play Amadeus and his thoughts on the 1984 film version.
