- Synopsis
- Under the theme of "The Seven Ages of Man"; actors Samuel West and Hattie Morahan perform the poetry of outstanding writers. The programme explores how love changes during the course of a human life.
The second age of love is expressed through Juliet’s declaration of love to Romeo in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
The programme features words by John Donne, Srah Maguire. Daphne Du Maurier and Elizabeth Jennings. These are accompanied by the music of Ravel, Mahler. Stephen Sondheim. Miles Davis. Janacek and John Tavener. - Series
