- Video recording of the the keynote address by Professor Ayanna Thompson on Shakespeare and the American minstrel tradition and productions in which actors wear dark make-up to play Othello to explore bacl mascilinity and how the play was written to be performed by white actors. It was delivered at the ‘Shakespeare and Social Justice: Scholarship and Performance in an Unequal World’ conference hosted by the Shakespeare Society of Southern Africa in Capetown.
