- Synopsis
- Steve Purcell (University of Warwick) introduces a live staged performance of excerpts from Ian Doescher’s novel, William Shakespeare’s Star Wars, the first in a series of comic pastiches told in Elizabethan English. Presented by Quirk Books and The Show Must Go Online, the presentation was recorded using the zoom platform and broadcast live on 4 May 2020, a day devoted to all things Star Wars ("May the Fourth be With You" etc.). The production itself lasts a half hour and is followed by a coversation with he cast and crew and Doescher himself, who also appears as a chorus character.
