Evening with Shakespeare for the Nhs, An

Synopsis
A feature-length film celebrating the work of Shakespeare, made to support and raise money for NHS Charities. The film uses the ‘Seven Ages of Man’ as a basic structure; it also includes some material from Euripides. Intercut with stills and video clips from a variety of sources, the film is split into seven sections, performing portions from specific Shakespeare works in each one. The extended middle section, The Classics, includes extracts from Euripedes’ Medea and The Bacchae. The film is presented in the following parts: Stage I The Infant (from The Winter’s Tale); Stage II The Student (Hamlet); Stage III The Lovers (Romeo and Juliet); Stage IV The Soldier (Henry V); Stage V The Justice (The Merchant of Venice and Julius Caesar); Stage VI Old Age (King Lear and Henry IV Part 2); Stage VII The Conclusion (The Tempest).
