Synopsis
Episode of the Australian TV discussion programme, Q+A. This edition, broadcast live from Sydney, takes questions from students on cultural questions relating and asks the panel to respond. Hosted by Stan Grant, this edition discusses Shakespeare’s place in the history of drama and his relevance today in the age of social media and ‘cancel culture’. Panellists include: John Bell (Founding Artistic Director of Bell Shakespeare); Nakkiah Lui (writer, actor, director); Paul McDermott (entertainer); Bri Lee (author, academic and activist); Tim Dean (philosopher and author). The programme ends with a performance by Zahra Newman of Scene 2 from Act 3 of Julius Caesar.
