Synopsis
Video recording of a two-part event held at the The Shakespeare Tavern in Atlanta, Georgia. The first part is entitled ‘A Fellow’s Tribunal’ in which Sammie Byron, who served 31 years in jail for murder, talks about his life, Shakespeare’s Othello and how he came to create the ‘Shakespeare Behind Bars’ programme for inmates. In the second half, O’Neil Delapenha talks to Byron and actor Harry Lennix, from NBC’s television series The Blacklist, about the impact that Shakespeare has had on their lives.
