Subdivided into five sections, Dr Gomez facilitates a dialogue on mental health issues that is then illustrated with scenes from Shakespeare’s plays. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is discussed by looking at a scene from Henry IV part 1; Loss and traumatic grief is illustrated by Twelfth Night; Complex trauma is exemplified by The Tempest; Self image, identity and body-based trauma uses Richard III.
