Title
A Sensitive time
Date
1985
Description
In the wake of the Louise Brown case, Clare Hastings looks at the situation parents of ‘Down’s Syndrome’ babies face. Many parents react to the birth of a handicapped child by perceiving the ‘loss’ of the healthy child they expected. They need support which is often difficult to find and when it is not forthcoming the baby is sometimes rejected by the parents.
