Mike Barton was a regular soundman on London Line (1964-1978), a magazine programme produced by the Central Office of Information [qv]. His earliest credits, such as ‘UNION JACK CAR’, London Line (Colour series 1) No.1, are for the colour versions which were shown in countries such as the United States, Canada and Australia. He also worked on issues of the ‘New Commonwealth’ version of the programme which was shown primarily in Africa and the Caribbean. ‘The Lion And The Jewel’ London Line No.117, released in 1967 is an early example of this.
