- In a small Italian village a courtroom is set up with Captain Henderson, a Scotsman, as Presiding Officer. The accused is Antonio Finamore, a Fascist Party boss, on trial for imposing hardships on his fellow villagers, some of whom are witnesses and help to condemn him.
