Summary
Mr Mackenzie King addresses both Houses in the Royal Gallery at the Palace of Westminster. He says Britain has been an example to the world and has never lost its faith. But goes on to say that he is expected to speak of Canada on this occasion and says that Canada’s war effort is a voluntary effort, therefore, an expression of a free people. Our first duty is to win the war, but we must keep the vision of a better future and must never cease to strive for its fulfilment. The Commonwealth combined to will help to bring a free world.
