- Summary
- Coffin of the late Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Temple, lies in state in the Chapel of Our Lady Undercroft at Canterbury. The next day at his funeral prayers are said by the Archbishop of York. The late Archbishop’s pastoral staff is taken to the High Altar and the coffin is then borne from the High Altar to the West Door of the Cathedral.
