- General James Doolittle with General Anderson and other service VIPs in briefing room prepare for the 8th Air Force’s heaviest day raid on Berlin. Aerial of the Fortresses in flight showing vapour trails. Bomb doors opening with bombs about to fall and aerials of Berlin during the very heavy raid. Formation of Fortresses returning home. (Note: 8 direct hits on the Air Ministry and 18 concentrations of high explosives covered the area occupied by the War Office, the Reich Chancellery, the Ministry of Propaganda, the Gestapo HQ and the Ministry of Agriculture and other important buildings).
