- Summary
- Tanks of the 14th Army go forward through jungle knocking down chalets and trees. This is the last stage of the drive which won back Mandalay. But it isn’t only the Japanese who are the enemy - there is also a disease as seen by a sign "Warning of Plague". Burmese refugees with bullock carts along road. Mule teams are used in place of jeeps on the Burma front as British and Indian troops head for Mandalay. Surprisingly life goes on while war goes on all around, Burmese shrines remain untouched by war, while Burmese dancing girls give a display of dancing to British and Indian troops. The men play the game of Chonlin, their type of football while others give a display of Burmese boxing with no holds barred and no rules.
