Summary
22,000 pound bomb, the biggest in the world, pictures of which are now off the secret list. The bomb which is 25 feet long, dwarfing ordinary bomb craters. Lancasters had to have their bomb bays specially adapted to take it. The shape and setting of the streamlined tail-fins caused it to spin at high speed when falling, a device that assists accuracy and penetration.
