- Summary
- Naval battle pictures from Okinawa show Japanese suicide pilots and celebrations that are held in their honour when their training is finished. They are entertained by Geisha girls and their pictures appear in Japanese newspapers as national heroes. Their average ages are between 16 and 20 years. They are seen crying "Banzai" as they prepare for their last flight. The Kamikaze planes are launched from large aircraft guided by the pilot who wears no parachute and is locked in the cockpit. The plane is stripped of all landing gear and detonates on contact. The planes are seen in flight and attacking the Pacific Fleet. An Essex class carrier is hit and scenes on board show flames and firefighters. "Bunker Hill" a US aircraft carrier ablaze after being hit by Jap planes. Scenes on board. On another carrier and American plane bursts into flames on landing. The pilot is seen scrambling away. Another pilot is trapped in his burning plane but is rescued. Burial of American sailors at sea. Pacific Fleet seen at sunset.
