Summary
British Minister of State Noel Baker was an early speaker as the Executive Committee of the United Nations Commission met in London. Vidkun Quisling arrives at the Oslo Court of Justice for the closing stages of his trial. Medical experts had dismissed the suggestion that he was suffering from a mental disease, and the trial continued. Field Marshal Montgomery on a visit to the Canadian Army of Occupation had a narrow escape when his plane crashed into a tree at Oldenberg, Germany. He was treated at a nearby hospital after which he insisted on completing his visit.
