Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Finnish War. Sarmijarvi and Prisoners. DESCRIPTION: The Finns continue to fight under Arctic conditions. SHOTLIST: In the Petsamo region hospitals are full of injured soldiers. General Wallenius is there. The Finnish troops press forward and, to make the Russian advance more difficult, set fire to every building which would give shelter. The is the fate of the mine village of Salmijarvi. Outside yet another hospital General Wallenius questions Russian prisoners. Courageous Finns Hold Their Enemy - CARD 38389 Finnish ski troops on patrol, prisoners being questioned by officer. Finns use scorched earth policy burning all buildings before leaving. Various shots of barns, houses and farms on fire in the area of Saomigarui. Finnish troops in hospitals, various shots.
