- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: ‘Graf Spee’ Victors Parade in London. DESCRIPTION: Seven hundred and sixty Officers and men from the two Cruisers were assembled on Horse Guards Parade. The Prime Minister and Cabinet are present and His Majesty is welcomed by Mr Churchill, the First Sea Lord. Later the ships Companies march through the City for a luncheon at the Guildhall. SHOTLIST: The men are lined up on the Horse Guards Parade. The cabinet are there, Mr Churchill (First Lord) and the Premier being together. HM arrives and tours the ranks with Captain Bell and Captain Woodhouse. Medals are presented to the men and then the King and Queen with Mr Churchill meet the relations of those who were lost in the action of ‘The Plate’. Led by a marines band they march to the Guildhall to be entertained to Lunch. At the luncheon Captain Woodhouse speaks followed by Mr Churchill. Shot of the top of Nelson’s Column.
