Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Pajala Bombed. DESCRIPTION: The town of Pajala was bombed but fortunately no one was hurt. SHOTLIST: Various shots of the bombed village on the Swedish side of the Frontier. The church yard was shattered and bomb craters pit the ground. One of the bombs down a farm and man displays one which didn’t explode. Swedish Border Town Bombed - CARD 38561B The border (Finland & Sweden) Piarra [sic], bombed by the Russians in an attempt to block railway ‘lifeline’ into Finland. Various shots of church surrounded by bomb craters. 48 bombs were dropped. Shots of farm building burned down. CU man holding incendiary bomb which didn’t explode.
