- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Troops Embark for Norway. DESCRIPTION: The Allied reply to Hitler’s invasion of Norway was to despatch an expeditionary force. SHOTLIST: Various shots of troops going aboard and loading cases by passing them from hand to hand up the brow. The ship is the cruiser "Glasgow" and the troops members of the Green Howards. French Troops Embark For Norway - CARD 38852 French soldiers line up on the quay and go aboard transports. Large quantities of food and equipment which includes skis and snow-shoes. Also going aboard are mules (it may be a horse) and live pigs. The transports leave. Shots at sea.
