MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sea-Vacuees Arrive Back. DESCRIPTION: Some of the children from the ‘Volendam’ arrive back in this country. SHOTLIST: The arrival of 321 children who were torpedoed while on way to Canada aboard the 15,000 ton Liner "Volendam" of the Holland America Line. No child was lost. Shots of the crew having a snack at the station. Shots of exhausted crew sleeping in train. Children arrive at Scottish Town. Various groups and close ups. Shots of crew waving good-bye to the children as they leave for lodgings. Shots of Mr Shakespeare joking with children.
