- With speculation about the future of China and its leaders, Chiang Kai-Shek’s Formosan based Free China force hots up the propaganda war. In the Straits of Formosa a Chiang warship fetes a group of Red China fishermen in a gesture of goodwill and friendship but the ‘free’ leader musters his forces as the mainland situation remains in ferment.
