- Summary
- A large pack of postmen, in regulation rig, spurred on by the thought that the fivepenny mail must get through, sped into their express post stride. It was the start of the Seventh Annual Postman’s Walk - six miles stomping around the City’s streets. The winner was former Olympic walker, Ray Middleton.
