- The Queen and Prince Philip were warmly welcomed to the world’s newest capital city by President Costa e Silva and his wife. The city which is an architectural wonderland has soared skywards in just over eight years. A magnificent banquet marked Her Majesty’s visit. From Brasilia, the Royal party travelled on to Sao Paulo, where the Brazilians left no doubt about how hospitable they felt towards the British monarch.
