Summary
At its first working session under new premier, Mrs Golda Meir, the Israeli Government rejected an American peace proposal for the Middle East. Mrs Meir believes that a settlement can only come from face to face talks between Arabs and Jews. To this end she offered to meet King Hussein. Peace is very much in her heart.
