- Edinburgh on a day when history was made. In this special Pathe News report is recorded the first occasion on which a reigning monarch has attended a General Assembly of the Church of Scotland since the Union of the Scottish and English Crowns in 1603. Her Majesty was accompanied on this memorable engagement by the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Anne.
