- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ships and Wings in Mediterranean. DESCRIPTION: From Gibraltar to Alexandria the Royal Navy is now supreme in the Mediterranean. The aircraft of the Fleet Air Arm continue to attack the Italian navy. SHOTLIST: Shots of Gib. and on the rock we find the C-in-C General Sir Clive Liddell. Shots of the Fleet which included "Ark Royal". Aboard her Fairey "Fulmars" take off. A convoy is picked up and escorted. Back on "Ark Royal" "Swordfish" are "torpedo-ed" and "Skuas" bombed-up - take off. They chase the Wops and defeat them in the Battle of Sardinia - the enemy steaming full speed (not in picture). "Ark Royal" is bombed - excellent scenes. Planes returns.
