Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tobruk Entered and the "San Georgio". DESCRIPTION: Our cameraman was with an Australian unit approaching Tobruk. We see the damage inflicted by the RAF and Fleet Air Arm. SHOTLIST: There is a staff conference in the desert and tanks move up. Guns fire and over the port can be seen the pall of smoke caused by the blazes. In the town itself an Australian hat is hoisted to the top of the flag-pole. One soldier rides through the streets on a donkey while another wears a captured Italian uniform and travels by motor-cycle. In the harbour ships are sunk and oil dumps blazing. Among the sunken vessels in the cruiser "San Giorgio" and naval officers inspect her.
