MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Russia at War. DESCRIPTION: First pictures of the Russian people’s reaction to Nazi Aggression. Russian factories already working overtime increase the tempo of their war production. The women are playing a tremendously important part, in the factories and carrying out much of Russia’s ARP work. SHOTLIST: Shot of Molotov broadcasting. In Moscow there is a rush to buy papers, crowd scenes. Local speakers are plentiful, shots of the factories, including women workers. ARP practice, women play a big part. Shots of Russian oil wells, and the Ukraine cornfields. Paintings of Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow, in Moscow. Shots of the Air Force, the Navy, and troops. Good shot of Stalin, with two other personalities.
