- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Convoy Must Go Through. DESCRIPTION: The signal was flashed to the ships of Admiral Somerville’s fleet as they steamed into the Mediterranean. Movietone’s Jack Ramsden filmed the action as the convoy pursued it’s course. SHOTLIST: Aboard "Renown" everything is keyed up as a convoy of ammunition etc., and men go through the Eastern Mediterranean. Also in the convoy escorts were destroyers, "Renown", "Ark Royal" and "Nelson". Italian planes attack the fleet. Fighters from Ark Royal keep taking off and landing. HMS "Fearless" was lost in the action, Italian planes try a second attack and Pom Poms and AA guns drive off the attack. Good shots of bombing etc. Also good shots planes crashing.
