MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Singapore. DESCRIPTION: Sir Robert Brooke-Popham, Commander-in-Chief in the Far East, has been inspecting the defences of Singapore. SHOTLIST: General views of the City and shots of the statue and inscription to Stamford Raffles. Air Chief Marshal Sir Robert Brooke-Popham inspects guns and later meets Mr Duff Cooper and Lady Diana. Typical shots of the Chinese quarter and of Chinese presenting a "Victory" banner. Included are shots of "Singapore" defences - guns and CU muscles etc. Cuts and cut story.
