Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Warships Repaired. DESCRIPTION: HMS "Warspite" is under going repair in an American yard. SHOTLIST: Various shots of the British Warships ‘Burnham’ and ‘Warspite’ undergoing repairs in US dockyards. The ‘Burnham’ goes into dry-dock. On the Warspite the crew do dummy practice on Pom Poms. Various shots of the officers which include Sir Charles Madden and Captain Douglas Blake Fisher (CU). CU of the Earl of Carrick. Shot of a group of marines. The sailors get their pay and they give the V for Victory sign. The Burnham was formerly the USS Aulich, but was transferred to Great Britain.
