- Pathe synopsis: At BOAC’s school for air hostesses at Heston, Chinese and Japanese girls are trained for their work as assistant stewardesses on Far East routes - and introduced to the new split skirt uniform of the Chinese stewardesses, an idea taken from the Chinese day skirt style called the "cheong sam", split up the side because otherwise the skirts are too tight to move around in.
