- Pathe synopsis: Over now to Renfrewshire in Scotland, to a children’s village, complete with its own school, church and shops. Known as the Orphan Homes of Scotland, the cluster of cottages which house 640 orphan children, and its lovely setting, is a heart-warming memorial to the man who founded them in 1871 - William Quarrier.
