- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: A model of a different kind is a 1931 Austin 7, currently selling for about eleven pounds; you wouldn’t be seen dead in one? Wait until you have seen the metamorphosis effected by two do-it-yourself experts from Epping. The old model is stripped, cleaned, the suspension lowered, the steering column raked, the engine tuned and, finally, a new glass-fibre shell is added. For £150 and considerable elbow-grease you have a snappy-looking sports car, capable of speeds of 70 mph - and at 50 mph to the gallon!
