- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: From mob caps to the Sputnik - not as difficult a jump as you might imagine, as proved by this parade of swim cap fashions, past and present. Starting with the styles of the 1890s, we graduate to modern times - and find new styles so elegant that they can be worn in the streets with a mackintosh! One step further and we’re in the future, with a cap modelled on the Sputnik - the antennae light up and emit the now familiar "bleep".
