Summary
Pathe synopsis: These bunnies don’t stand up at the bar and knock it back - they’re tough and take it neat from the bottle. It’s not as degenerate as it sounds, for these young rabbits have been hand-reared on milk from dolls’ feeding bottles by Mrs Juanita Deschamps at her home in Sussex. She had been told that it was impossible to rear wild rabbits, but she has proved the experts wrong, and is now weaning her healthy six-week-olds.
SHOTLIST: MS House, Mrs Juanita Deschamps comes out of house with saucepan of milk she stops in front of table upon which is a row of dolls’ bottles. She starts to pour milk into beaker. CU row of bottles on table. MS Mrs Deschamps pouring milk from beaker into bottle. CU table, she puts beaker on it. MS pouring milk into bottle, she holds it up as if to say to the rabbits "Look what I’ve got!" CU rabbits in cage. MLS Juanita Deschamps walks into picture and is handed baby rabbit by Mrs Shorter, which she sits down and starts to feed. CU rabbit sucking at bottle. CU Mrs Shorter holding baby rabbit. CU rabbit looking hungry. MCS rabbits in cage all looking very hungry, noses twitching. MS Mrs Shorter holding rabbit, she puts bottle in its mouth and puts him onto roof of cage. CU rabbit on roof, hand still holding bottle in its mouth. MCU rabbits in cage. CU rabbit on roof, still sucking bottle, it walks forward with bottle in its mouth until it drops over side of the roof.
